The new version integrates advanced cybersecurity features with best-in-class personal backup, creating a comprehensive cyber protection solution available to home users, freelancers and small businesses worldwide. By incorporating cyber protection features such as real-time anti-malware security, antivirus scanning, website filtering and video conferencing protection, the Acronis True Image solution provides users with complete cyber protection. By unifying all essential protection elements into a single solution, individuals and small businesses gain a user-friendly tool to significantly improve the security of their data and devices. The new version arrives at the right time in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has exposed gaps in existing solutions and strategies. Securing the devices of remote workers has never been more important—especially in a situation where, according to one survey, 47% of them did not receive clear guidance on how to work safely from home. “In addition to the threat of accidental deletion or hardware failure, home computers are under increasing attack from clever hackers. As a result of the current situation, the FBI is recording a 400% increase in cyber incidents because attackers know that home systems are not as protected as those in offices,” said **Sergej Beloussov, founder and CEO of Acronis**. “Backup without cybersecurity is as insufficient today as cybersecurity without backup. Acronis True Image 2021 provides an easy, effective and secure way to deliver cyber protection for today’s world.” **Standalone backup solutions are outdated** With dependence on modern devices such as computers, smartphones and tablets, data is becoming increasingly valuable. Hackers are developing more sophisticated techniques to attack it, which is one reason why AV-Test records more than 350,000 malware threats every day. Because backup software and backed-up files are frequent attack targets intended to prevent potential recovery, a backup solution alone is no longer sufficient. Likewise, conventional cybersecurity solutions do not provide data protection and recovery after a successful attack. And relying on several different, non-cooperating solutions means security gaps, higher costs and complicated management. As an integrated solution, Acronis True Image 2021 fills this gap, making protection and security more efficient, simpler and more accessible. Users therefore have authentic, unaltered data free of any malicious code that they can use for secure backup. They can proactively stop any malware attacks and quickly restore affected files. They simplify the management of their security and backups with the help of an integrated, intuitive interface. **Integration means best-in-class cyber protection** Over the past several years, Acronis True Image has been the only personal backup solution with built-in ransomware protection and cryptojacking blocking, using artificial intelligence and behavioral heuristics to stop attacks in real time while automatically restoring affected files. With the release of the 2021 version, these capabilities have been expanded with advanced anti-malware technology, which is now also part of the cloud offering Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. This new generation of malware protection was tested by independent laboratories [Virus Bulletin](https://www.acronis.com/en-us/blog/posts/acronis-cyber-protect-cloud-earns-vb100-certification) and [AV-Test](https://www.acronis.com/en-us/blog/posts/100-detection-rate-zero-false-alarms-independent-lab-tests-acronis-cyber-protect-cloud) as a solution with 100% effectiveness and zero false positives. The result is the new version of Acronis True Image 2021, which includes: - AI-powered real-time protection that stops all malware, including zero-day attacks - Antivirus scanning of the entire system or high-risk files - Web filtering that automatically blocks Windows users from infected sites - Protection for video conferencing applications such as Zoom, Cisco Webex and Microsoft Teams - Comprehensive detection based on behavioral analysis and signature-based analytical engines - A list of quarantined objects and an exceptions list enabling users to automatically isolate potential threats and allow approved programs to run without interruption.
