Over the past two years, it has doubled its total network capacity to 100 Tbps, enabling it to withstand even the largest DDoS attacks and provide its customers with faster and more reliable services anywhere in the world. “The Facebook outage and related services [last week](https://blog.cloudflare.com/during-the-facebook-outage/) demonstrated the enormous and immediate impact that several hours of web application unavailability can have on both individuals and businesses today,” said **Michal Hebeda, Sales Engineer at ZEBRA SYSTEMS.** “By expanding its network, Cloudflare is further strengthening the security, speed and reliability of internet content delivery, including protection against massive DDoS attacks.” The three new locations in Europe include data centers in Cork, Ireland; Palermo, Italy; and Yekaterinburg, Russia. Cloudflare now has data centers in 47 cities across 30 European countries, including Prague. In North America, Cloudflare has data centers in 49 locations, while in Asia it operates in 84 cities. The closer Cloudflare data center locations are to users, the faster requested content reaches their websites, applications and corporate networks. In today’s world, information often has to travel long distances or pass through many networks before it is delivered to customer data centers.
