Version 2.0 of the integrated solution launched last year newly introduces, in particular, the **EndPoint Control** service, which complements existing tools with protection against unauthorized removable media. EndPoint Control eliminates the risks of malware infection or data leakage by identifying suspicious media such as USB drives, external disks, etc., and implementing appropriate measures. The service enables full control over the flow of information at endpoints by scanning all sensitive files that could become the target of an attack. IT administrators can therefore control access by removable storage media and storage devices based on defined access rights, device type, file type, physical ports, and the ID of the device used, all from a centralized console. “According to our findings this year, the use of unauthorized removable media represents a serious security risk for 21% of Czech and Slovak enterprises,” said **Zdeněk** **Bínek, responsible for sales of GFI Software solutions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia**. “The new version of GFI OneGuard 2.0 now makes it possible to manage endpoint protection together with antivirus protection and patch management from a single location, which will be particularly appreciated by organizations with high demands for intellectual property protection.” [**GFI OneGuard**](https://www.gfi.com/products-and-solutions/network-security-solutions/gfi-oneguard/specifications) offers software for centralized management of computer networks, including advanced reporting tools.
