The new licensing model, which will expand the flexible deployment options for GFI KerioControl, will be available in the fourth quarter of this year. For managed service providers (MSPs), FWaaS offers an opportunity to reach a broader range of new customers as well as existing customers with a new service, thereby expanding their revenue. They can offer their clients a guarantee of reliable corporate network protection supported by active monitoring, reporting, easy management of updates and new versions, and technical support. The main benefits of FWaaS for end customers are, above all, rapid deployment, easy scalability, and low total cost of ownership for corporate network protection. The service offered by an MSP provides them with all the benefits of cloud deployment, such as paying only for actual usage and having an always up-to-date version without the need for their own maintenance. The SaaS licensing model of the GFI KerioControl solution will expand the deployment options for GFI KerioControl, which currently include software installation on proprietary hardware, installation on a virtual machine, or deployment as a GFI Software hardware appliance. The initiative follows the previously announced GFI KerioConnect SaaS solution, which enables companies to operate their mail server with a hosting service provider. “With the SaaS version of KerioControl, we are responding to the demands of our partners and customers for the current trend of moving to the cloud,” said **Jozef Kačala, Vice President of Global Sales Engineering at GFI Software.** “More and more small and medium-sized companies are facing the challenges of increasingly intense cyberattacks and a shortage of in-house IT experts, and are entrusting themselves to MSP partners.
