The latest GFI LanGuard enables an adequate response to the growing number of vulnerabilities in enterprise networks and more efficient generation of materials intended to ensure security audits and regulatory standards. **GFI LanGuard** is a comprehensive solution for automated update management, vulnerability scanning on computers and mobile devices, and network and software auditing. To enhance security, it enables the creation of an asset inventory for every device on the network, including tablets and smartphones. GFI LanGuard is also part of the [**GFI Unlimited**](https://gfi-unlimited.cz/) licensing model, enabling the use of up to 10 GFI Software products under a cost-effective, unified subscription. In the latest version 12.5, the solution includes: - Enhanced graphical user interface elements, including application icons and status information on the immediate threat level for networks within the organization; - Clearer and more powerful reporting within the central console; - More efficient vulnerability scanning, including networks with NTLM security disabled; - Reports compliant with the latest specifications of the PCI-DSS payment card security methodology. “Malware attacks exploiting unpatched software, the end of Windows 7 support, and the growing number of vulnerabilities in general are all challenges that IT administrators in companies and public organizations face today,” said **Zdeněk Bínek, responsible for GFI Software sales in the Czech Republic and Slovakia**. “To give them an immediate overview of the networks they manage, we continuously improve our key product in this area – GFI LanGuard. Version 12.5 places increased emphasis specifically on reporting and compliance with increasingly demanding requirements.” Information based on data from [The National Vulnerability Database](https://nvd.nist.gov/) shows that, for example, a total of 16,555 vulnerabilities were recorded in 2018 alone, which is 12.5% more than in 2017. In 2017, the number of vulnerabilities had already more than doubled compared to the previous year. Data for 2019 will be available in the first quarter.
