The multi-layered email protection that is essential today and commonly used by large organizations is unaffordable for many SMBs. Current methods used by cyber attackers in email attacks include: - For example, the latest techniques include sending fake email delivery failure messages in order to induce users to click on an attached link. - Attackers are now adding strings of legitimate text to emails to deceive content filters. - Emails blackmailing users with the publication of intimate content unless they pay into a Bitcoin account. - Traditional but still effective methods include impersonating well-known companies or organizations (Apple, Google, banks, parcel delivery services, etc.). - Probably the most dangerous today are BEC (Business Email Compromise) attacks, where an email appearing to come from a business partner or superior requests payment to a fraudulent account. According to some findings, 91% of people today have trouble recognizing a phishing email. Professionally forged emails make users forget about spam written with obvious grammatical errors and sent from suspicious domains.
