Respondents primarily see practical uses of AI in vulnerability scanning, defense against ransomware attacks, and email protection. Artificial intelligence is a global phenomenon in the field of cybersecurity, both from the perspective of threats and in terms of its integration into security tools. A number of studies have confirmed its misuse, for example in phishing attacks, which are characterized by high sophistication and significant reach. On the other hand, security software vendors are now integrating AI into their solutions to increase the effectiveness of protecting their customers against such attacks, including GFI Software, which recently announced the gradual integration of the CoPilot component into all its solutions. Survey results among local partners and customers: - This year, the NIS-2 Directive will be the main driver of security solution development for 52% of respondents, while 17.5% cite the use of AI and 16% employee education. - 36.5% welcome the use of AI in IT security, 19% have concerns about it, and 32% take a neutral position. Only 12.5% believe that the impact of AI is overstated. - Most respondents see the best use of AI in vulnerability scanning (74%), defense against ransomware (69%), and corporate email protection (55%). - 87% consider phishing attacks targeting employees to be this year's biggest security challenge. “We understand the challenges associated with the impact of the NIS-2 Directive, but AI represents a major opportunity, and IT security is one of the areas where it definitely does not pay to wait,” said **Zdeněk Bínek, Director of ZEBRA SYSTEMS, distributor of GFI Software solutions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.** “A number of our vendors have integrated or are integrating AI into their solutions, including GFI Software. We also do not want to fall behind and plan to use artificial intelligence this year to further improve our services and strengthen the cybersecurity of our partners and customers.” Last year, GFI Software announced that it would gradually enhance all its products with generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) capabilities. The company is installing the **CoPilot** GenAI component in each of its products. Each product in the GFI Software portfolio will receive its own CoPilot component, leveraging the power of generative AI.
