According to the survey, more than 90% of Czech SMB companies have dealt with lost emails in the past, yet only 41% of businesses use a specialized archiving solution. Losing emails is not difficult: all it takes is a computer malfunction, a user error or intentional deletion of mail, or careless synchronization with a mobile device. The loss of important emails can then put a company in an unpleasant situation, potentially resulting in a missed contract and therefore a direct financial loss. Further losses may arise from reduced employee productivity, as they spend significant amounts of time searching for specific emails, or from failure to meet legal requirements. Key findings of the local survey: - 35% of Czech companies frequently encounter the problem of employees losing or being unable to find important emails, 58% encounter it occasionally, and 7% of businesses do not encounter it at all; - As a result of issues with lost emails, companies most often consider acquiring an archiving solution (68%), saving emails in PST files (58%), and user training and education (55%); - Currently, businesses most often use storage in a local Outlook archive (33%), storage in a PST archive on a server (26%), and a specialized archiving solution (41%). “Especially in small and medium-sized companies, users keep all information, including attachments, exclusively in emails, and email is therefore often the only consistent source of company information,” said **Zdeněk Bínek, responsible for sales of GFI Software solutions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia**. “The loss of important emails then becomes a threat to the entire company. A specialized archiving solution eliminates these situations by storing incoming and outgoing emails in a central archive before they enter users’ mailboxes, preventing any careless or intentional manipulation.” More information can be found at .
