According to the survey, nearly 60% of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) restrict their employees' access to the work web for personal purposes. In the next 12 months, 36% of the companies surveyed plan to focus on securing corporate web access. Key findings of the local survey: - 41% of Czech SMBs allow their employees to access the work web completely without restrictions, while 27% do not allow access for personal purposes at all, and 30% allow it for a maximum of one hour per day; - If personal access is permitted, businesses are willing to allow access to news servers (96%) and e-shops (45%), but less so to social networks, typically Facebook (18%), and content streaming or downloading (18%); - The largest increase in non-work use of web access occurs during lunch breaks (28%), during sports broadcasts (19%), and less often before holidays (9%) and before Christmas (4%); 40% of respondents are unable to determine this. “Along with email protection and protection against access from removable media, secure web access is among the main tasks of corporate IT administrators, with more than a third of them wanting to give it the highest priority over the next year,” said **Zdeněk Bínek, responsible for sales of GFI Software solutions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia**. “The survey also shows that at least 40% of Czech SMBs have no control over how their employees use access to the work web.
