The solution, supplied by **ALGORIT CZECH** as an Acronis partner in the Czech Republic, increased the level of corporate data security and helps protect the company against ransomware attacks. Previously, the company backed up data only within its local network; with the introduction of the Acronis solution, it now backs up according to the so-called geographic backup scheme and the 3-2-1 rule, meaning three copies of data on at least two different types of media, with one copy physically located off-site. MOKATE deployed Acronis Backup 12.5 Standard Workstation (for workstation backup) and Acronis Backup 12.5 Standard Virtual Host (for virtual machine backup). Following deployment and testing of various options, the solution went live in February 2018. “We are a manufacturing company; we are able to produce and physically deliver goods, but in today’s world, where everything is connected to an information system and electronic document exchange, you cannot do without IT,” said **Ondřej Čech,** **Senior IT Technician/Specialist** **at MOKATE Czech. “**In the event that key servers running the information system are taken out of service, a short-term outage of a few hours is manageable, but if we were talking about dozens of hours or several days, it could be a very serious problem. That is why we chose the Acronis Backup solution, which guarantees fast and reliable data recovery.” The company particularly appreciates the functionality of Acronis Backup 12.5, its simple centralized management, and local support from Acronis. The solution also helped protect against a ransomware attack when the Active Protection functionality integrated into the backup solution stopped the data encryption process and enabled rapid recovery of the affected data from backup without disrupting operations. In the future, the company plans to expand the solution to additional branches in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. **About MOKATE** MOKATE is a family-owned company headquartered in Poland, where it produces instant products and teas. It employs more than 250 people in the Czech Republic, where coffee is roasted and wafers, cookies, sponge cakes, and gingerbread are produced. The company sells its own brands and manufactures a large share of private-label products for retail chains. The entire MOKATE group has approximately 2,500 employees.
