This proactive service strengthens Cove's defense against modern cyber threats and is integrated into the Cove architecture at no additional cost. Cyberattacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and attackers now routinely seek to disrupt organizations' defense and recovery capabilities by compromising their backups. In today’s cyber environment, early threat detection is just as important as response and recovery; identifying malicious activity early eliminates the risk of extensive damage. Most backup solutions leave the security and monitoring of backup infrastructure to the organization. However, Cove integrates data resilience features at its very core. **Honeypots**, the first available ADaaS feature, is a continuously active defense mechanism designed to detect brute-force attacks. By identifying unauthorized access attempts, Honeypots helps ensure that infrastructure and data remain fully protected. By detecting threats early, before they reach production systems or actual backups, businesses gain valuable time to respond and isolate attacks, preventing situations in which recovery cannot be carried out.
