It is estimated that 1–3% of the entire population in the Czech Republic consists of people with intellectual disabilities. The aim of SPMPCR is to support the integration of these people and raise awareness that they too have standard human rights, can work, live independently, form relationships and lead ordinary lives, etc. The organization advocates for the preservation of legal capacity and seeks to address, together with parents, the issue of children's futures, including the recently much-discussed topic of inclusion in education and adult life. **Challenges** The society is based in Prague's Karlín district, where it communicates with its clients and also seeks to help people in individual regional associations. SPMP's activities include organizing various social events and providing social counselling in person, by telephone or by email. Social counselling is the society's core activity, followed by other activities such as supportive weekends with therapists for parents of children and self-advocacy activities by people with intellectual disabilities. An important part of its activities is also the organization of conferences and seminars, including participation in international projects. All these activities are handled by approximately 15–20 employees, including external staff, who personally assist more than 150 clients annually in Prague and Brno and many others by telephone and email, serving more than 500 people from across the country each year in total.\ The society's staff therefore communicate quite extensively, whether by telephone, Skype or, currently, primarily by email. It is not unusual for individual staff members to handle up to 500 emails per week, both incoming and outgoing. Many of them, especially external staff, work not only in the office but also from home, cafés, meetings or while traveling. Given the limited budgets, emphasis is also placed on keeping communication costs as low as possible. **Solution** In 2007, the society deployed the Kerio Connect communication solution, one of the main alternatives to Microsoft Exchange. The Kerio Connect email server provides email, instant messaging, shared calendars and contact management in most email clients, IM clients, web browsers and mobile devices.\ At SPMP, Kerio Connect replaced the original unsecured mail-hosting solution. The main shortcomings of the previous email system were low service quality, small mailboxes, the inability to fully synchronize and share mailboxes, etc. The deployment of the new Kerio Connect solution was proposed by an external IT administrator who had had positive experience with it at other companies. The main reason was the fact that Kerio Connect enables full administrative control, is reliable, and includes high-quality support and update services. The system currently runs at SPMP on Windows Server 2016, on HP ML110 server hardware and in combination with Sophos antivirus software. **Benefits** Given the mobile working style of SPMS staff, the main advantage of Kerio Connect is easy access to email from anywhere via a smartphone. Staff can check their mail while traveling or at home without having to carry a laptop with them at all times. A major user benefit is shared contacts, which can be accessed from anywhere and do not need to be created separately for each user. This is particularly important for the SPMP team, which often consists of mothers with young children working part-time, resulting in frequent staffing changes and a need for flexible working conditions. Features enabling calendar synchronization and other forms of collaboration with the Brno office are also used.\ With email, SPMP has essentially managed to replace the once-common postal communication when organizing events, including conference registrations, notifications and sending events to calendars, significantly improving conference attendance. In 2017, as part of the expansion of part-time positions and the increased need for flexible work from home, the number of Kerio Connect licenses was increased from the original 10 to the current 15. **Goals achieved** “Over the years, email has become the main working tool for handling our agenda and organizing a wide range of activities. Given the flexibility and mobility of our work, Kerio Connect is an invaluable assistant for us, and we are very satisfied with it.
