The Exinda system for network traffic management and application prioritization replaced the original solution, which did not meet the requirements of modern network operations and was no longer supported by its vendor. The Centre for Joint Activities of the Czech Academy of Sciences, which serves as a support organization for the Academy's institutes, addressed the specific needs of the Academy's hotel and restaurant facilities, with temporarily connecting users, using Exinda technology. The Exinda Network Orchestrator 4062 was one of the few solutions on the current market to support traffic shaping and application visibility, while also meeting capacity and price requirements. “As a public organization, we are required to comply with a number of specific regulations, while also being constrained by limited budgets. That is why the Exinda solution caught our attention: its capacity can be easily adapted to our needs and it can flexibly meet the necessary requirements. Device management is very intuitive and simple, and the deployment itself took only a matter of hours,” said **Ing. Jaromír Holec, IT Specialist at the Centre for Joint Activities of the Czech Academy of Sciences, a public research institution.** The Exinda solution has been deployed and is currently operating in Prague in traffic management mode, where it assigns bandwidth to each IP address. In its current mode, it operates with a 150 Mb/s license and is used simultaneously by an average of 50 users. At peak times, up to 180 users connect, with each having sufficient bandwidth. Given the positive experience, the technology will gradually be expanded to other locations in the Czech Republic. The expectations for which the Exinda technology was acquired have been fulfilled. Compared to the previous solution, Exinda Network Orchestrator is easy to operate, clear, and very convenient for traffic management and prioritization. It is an efficient all-in-one hardware and software solution that enables data traffic management in both wired and wireless networks. In its latest current version, 4062v2, it offers faster operation, substantially more RAM and SSD storage, and lower energy consumption.
