The solution was deployed and is managed by **COMES**, a GFI Software partner in the Czech Republic. In recent years, XERTEC has undergone an extensive restructuring of its IT infrastructure. The main objective was to increase the level of security, improve network management, and create an environment that meets current requirements for security and operational flexibility. The existing infrastructure required modernization to enable more efficient network traffic management, secure remote employee access, and better protection of corporate data. To meet these requirements, COMES selected the **GFI** **Kerio Control** solution, which was deployed as the central firewall and a key security component of the entire infrastructure. Kerio Control created the first layer of protection between the company's internal network and the internet, while also providing tools for managing, monitoring, and securing network traffic. Another requirement enabled by Kerio Control was basic network segmentation, and the project also included the introduction of secure remote access via VPN. This allowed employees to access corporate systems from anywhere while maintaining a high level of security. The deployed solution brought XERTEC significant improvements in security, management, and the availability of IT services.
