The new feature allows MSP providers to protect the data of customers using Google Workspace from the same console they already use to manage backups of servers, workstations and Microsoft 365. There is no need to deploy another standalone solution, and MSPs can deliver comprehensive data protection services more efficiently. Google Workspace has become an important part of corporate infrastructure, yet its native data retention tools are no substitute for independent backup. The risks include accidental file deletion, cyberattacks and deliberate deletion by a departing employee. It is precisely these situations that give MSPs the opportunity to offer customers a higher level of protection and to ensure fast recovery of critical information. **More customers, less administration** The key benefit for MSPs is centralized backup management in a single environment. Cove Data Protection makes it possible to monitor the status of Google Workspace backups, together with other customer systems, through a multi-tenant console. Automatic onboarding of new users helps keep the scope of protection up to date without unnecessary manual intervention. The solution supports backing up data from Gmail, Google Drive including shared drives, Contacts and Calendar. Automatic backups run every four to six hours by default, and data can be retained for up to seven years. MSPs can restore individual e-mails, files or folders without having to wait for Google support. Another significant advantage is the automatic archiving of data belonging to deleted users. Historical data remains recoverable while billing for active licenses ends. MSPs can thus offer customers long-term protection without unnecessary licensing costs. “Organizations often assume that data stored in the cloud is automatically fully protected, but that may not be the case, for example, in the event of accidental deletion or a cyberattack,” said **Ondřej Šabata, Sales Engineer,** [**ZEBR.AI**](http://zebr.ai/en/). “For managed service providers, Google Workspace backup is therefore an attractive opportunity to expand their service portfolio and, at the same time, increase the value they deliver to their customers by improving the level of protection of their data.” **Predictable costs and room for service growth** Cove Data Protection uses a pricing model based on the number of protected users rather than the volume of data. Cloud storage is included in the price and is pooled at the MSP level, so a single larger Google Drive does not have to mean higher costs. This makes it easier for MSPs to calculate prices, create service packages and plan growth. Security is ensured by AES-256 encryption and immutable backup copies that are resistant to unauthorized modification and ransomware. By extending Cove to Google Workspace, MSPs gain the ability to unify the protection of multiple customer environments under a single platform, reduce operational complexity and strengthen the value of their services.
