The vast majority of respondents see room for improvement or are aware of numerous weak points; however, limited budgets and the underestimation of security risks most often prevent them from improving their protection. ZEBRA conducted the survey in October this year among Czech and Slovak partners and customers. Therefore, an increasing number of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are using managed service provider (MSP) services, not only in traditional areas such as remote management and monitoring, but also in backup and endpoint protection (EDR). Especially for organizations aware of their many security shortcomings, switching to MSP services can represent a major leap in the quality of IT infrastructure security. The most interesting survey findings: - Only 11% of respondents stated that they have adequate visibility and control over their IT security, 49% see room for improvement, 35% are aware of multiple weak points, and 5% have only basic protection and need a new solution. - The main barriers to improving cybersecurity include limited budgets for security tools (83%), underestimating the consequences of an attack (60%), insufficient visibility into network activity (19%), and new attacker techniques (15%). - The most widely used MSP services currently include backup & disaster recovery (52%), remote management & monitoring (48%), and EDR/MDR endpoint protection (44%). “MSP services provide an answer to the most pressing cybersecurity challenges faced by SMB organizations – lack of resources for IT investments, a shortage of qualified personnel, and low awareness of the consequences of cyberattacks,” said **Ondřej Šabata, Sales Engineer for N-able solutions at ZEBRA SYSTEMS.** “MSP provider services require no upfront costs and today offer comprehensive protection for a reasonable recurring fee.
