Last year, the share of cloud services in Acronis's total local revenue increased to 20%
Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection, is seeing dynamically growing interest among Czech and Slovak service providers in Acronis Cyber Cloud as the primary platform for delivering cloud-based cyber protection services to their customers. In 2019, in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the share of revenue from cloud services in Acronis's total revenue increased to 20%, while this year Acronis sees an opportunity to achieve triple-digit growth in its local cloud business.
In response to increasing demand, Acronis offers new Czech and Slovak partners the opportunity to start delivering services with no upfront costs and the first two months completely free. In version 8.0 of Acronis Cyber Cloud, the platform includes a comprehensive range of cloud services, including backup, disaster recovery, file sharing, blockchain-based notarization, and AI-powered ransomware protection.
At the beginning of 2020, for example, Slovak company iLO deployed Acronis Cyber Cloud. It had previously used the CrashPlan platform, but given the current volume of attacks, this solution was no longer sufficient in terms of performance and functionality. As a result, the core product in the area of managed data protection has become a package of monitoring and backup services built on the Acronis Cyber Cloud platform. “Thanks to Acronis Cyber Cloud, we were able to very quickly build and offer a ready-made solution that is an excellent shield against the most current threats faced by our clients,” said Tibor Hatnančík, IT project manager at iLO s.r.o.
Providers in the Czech Republic are also seeing strong interest from businesses and organizations. “We are experiencing very rapidly growing demand from our customers for cloud services, especially in the area of cyber protection,” said Vojtěch Levý, director of the flexCloud.cz division at LaConex. “The recently released new version of the Acronis Cyber Cloud platform has given us additional options for meeting customer requirements.”
The new version offers great potential, especially through the key Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud service, which provides service providers with scalable group management of devices and backup plans, as well as the ability to work with customers operating large infrastructures. Partners now also have support for applications built on Oracle Database and for backup and recovery in SAP HANA environments, as well as support for clustered backups of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Exchange Server.
