Updates to Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud offer enhancements in backup, disaster recovery, and remote management and monitoring
PRAGUE, May 14, 2026 – Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection solutions, has added further new features to its MSP platform, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. The enhancements enable MSP providers to offer customers more efficient services in backup, disaster recovery, and RMM. The key new feature is early access to Acronis Cyber Frame.
Acronis Cyber Frame
Acronis Cyber Frame is a new hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) solution. It enables managed service providers (MSPs) to offer infrastructure services, including virtual machines, block and object storage, and network services, with integrated backup, disaster recovery, security, and remote monitoring and management (RMM). Acronis Cyber Frame is natively integrated into Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud and supports both service provider-hosted and Acronis-hosted deployments. Early access has been available since the beginning of April.
Backup: Installation from the Synology Marketplace
Installing the agent directly from the Synology Marketplace makes deployment easier for partners managing supported NAS environments. Installation from the Marketplace streamlines setup and helps teams roll out protection more quickly across all supported Synology systems.
Backup: Partner protection plans
Backup is now supported in partner protection plans. This extends the existing multi-customer policy functionality to the backup module, enabling partners or administrators to apply backup plans to multiple customer servers, workstations, and virtual machines from a single location while centrally enforcing settings such as encryption and archive password management.
DR: Windows Server 2025 support
Support for Windows Server 2025 extends disaster recovery capabilities to newer server environments. This version offers server recovery scenarios such as test failovers, production failovers, failback, and backup and recovery after failover. It provides partners with a clear process for protecting customers migrating to the latest version of Windows Server.
RMM: Acronis AI for remote desktop session summaries
A new artificial intelligence feature now automatically creates remote desktop session summaries. It records actions performed during a session and makes logs easier to review through timeline navigation, helping partners reduce manual documentation, improve task handovers between technicians, and maintain better records for audits, training, and escalations.
“The new features introduced by Acronis confirm the continuing trend of consolidating IT services into unified platforms that enable MSP partners to manage all aspects of enterprise IT environments more efficiently,” said Štěpán Bínek, Acronis cloud solutions sales manager at ZEBRA SYSTEMS. “Acronis Cyber Frame in particular demonstrates a shift toward integrated HCI and IaaS services that connect virtualization, backup, security, and remote management in a single ecosystem. Overall, this is a step that responds to growing customer pressure for automation, greater security, and simpler management of hybrid IT environments.”
