Slovak IT integrator JKC has been a long-standing supplier of Kerio technologies. With growing pressure on cybersecurity, it sought a top-tier solution that would enable it to offer managed services (MSP) to its customers, primarily in the public sector, which is being forced to improve its protection by increasingly sophisticated attacks and tightening regulations.

JKC built its offering on the N-able portfolio from ZEBRA SYSTEMS: N-sight for IT infrastructure monitoring, Cove Data Protection for backup as a service, N-able EDR (SentinelOne) and MDR (Adlumin) for cybersecurity. For a public administration customer, it combines these with GFI KerioConnect, KerioControl, the AST SIEM tool, and Impossible Cloud storage.

The N-able portfolio became the foundation of JKC's transition to a certified managed services model, and Cove now backs up data for a number of Slovak organizations. For its system integration capabilities, JKC received the “Best Integrator” award for 2024 from ZEBRA SYSTEMS and the international Customer Success Champion 2025 award from GFI.

D.A.S. legal expenses insurer needs to find exact wording in email communications even 10 years back, typically due to ongoing court proceedings. More than 300,000 emails with approximately 90 GB of data pass through the company every quarter. Previous storage in backed-up PST files did not guarantee recovery of all emails.

The company deployed GFI Archiver, which uses journaling to store original emails and files in a central repository resistant to unauthorized tampering, separate from the mail server.

3 TB of email is archived exactly as it was received or sent from the company, serving as verifiable evidence of communication. Full-text search finds an email by date, insurance policy number, or claim number almost instantly, and accidentally deleted messages can be restored to users.

PATRON-IT delivers managed IT security services and also handles urgent ransomware incidents. It needed feedback on the security measures being implemented: companies often differ in what they would like to have configured and what is actually configured.

On the N-able N-sight RMM cloud platform, it built its own advanced scripts that together form a continuous auditing tool: the customer environment is automatically checked against the most common exploits and current threats. The same console is used for update management and asset inventory.

The system monitors servers, workstations, storage, UPS units, switches, routers, cameras and Wi-Fi APs. A check that would take weeks to perform manually is completed every 5 minutes. The customized RMM is deployed across all customers, and PATRON-IT, which has used N-sight since 2013, ranks among the 3 largest users in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Slovakia’s largest food wholesaler operated an older mail system without shared calendars or mobile access, while processing 6,400 emails totaling nearly 2 GB every day. It was looking for stable on-premise email with full control over its data—it did not want a cloud solution.

Based on the recommendation of its IT partner RD-System Slovakia, it deployed GFI KerioConnect integrated with Microsoft Outlook, providing email and calendars on mobile devices, antivirus and antispam protection, and email archiving.

The solution is relied on by 320 users. The company gained secure on-premise email which, at the time of deployment, offered functionality comparable to Microsoft Exchange at significantly lower costs, more convenient email management thanks to calendars, and better security.
