Acronis, a global leader in the cyber protection solutions market, announced its inclusion in the High Performer quadrant in the latest Canalys Endpoint Security Vendor Performance Index analytical report. Acronis, which increased its revenue by 18.8% in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2021, has thus joined the leading global leaders in endpoint protection.
Canalys, a respected independent technology market analyst firm, publishes regular quarterly reports identifying trends in the endpoint protection market and the market shares of individual vendors. In particular, it evaluates their current performance in the endpoint security solutions market and customer demand over the past 12 months (currently from July 2021 to June 2022).
In its latest report, Canalys recognizes Acronis endpoint protection solutions and their integration with data backup and recovery services. Acronis was officially classified for the first time as a leading Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) provider in April 2021, when it appeared in the Canalys Endpoint Security Vendor Performance Index. Since then, it has expanded its endpoint protection solution, announced a number of integrations with leading service delivery platform providers, and enhanced its core Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform with endpoint protection functionality.
“The inclusion of Acronis among endpoint protection solution leaders confirms its strong market performance and the presence of an exceptional customer offering,” said Alex Smith, Vice President at Canalys. “With its unique approach to cyber protection and loyalty to its sales partners, Acronis is well on its way to further strengthening its position among leading endpoint protection vendors for service providers and solution resellers in the future.”
Acronis Cyber Protect achieved another success in endpoint protection in an AV-Test organization test in June this year. The Acronis solution was able to detect and stop all 10 ransomware attacks, stopping 8 of them already in the “initial access” phase and the remaining two in the “execution” phase.
More than 20,000 service providers, 750,000 businesses and organizations in more than 150 countries reliably use Acronis cyber protection solutions. Over the past year, the Acronis Cyber Protect platform prevented more than 1 million attacks and protected 2.66 million devices, enabling service providers and corporate IT departments to avoid costly outages and maintain business continuity.
