The new feature will enable providers using the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform to increase the efficiency of monitoring the operation and performance of customer infrastructures

PRAGUE, June 7, 2023 – Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection solutions, has added a new machine learning-based monitoring and smart alerts feature (Machine Learning – ML) to its MSP platform Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. Thanks to this feature, Acronis MSP partners can deliver comprehensive services more efficiently and reliably to ensure their customers' business continuity.

Enhanced ML-based operation and performance monitoring will help eliminate unplanned outages of customer IT infrastructures or data loss through accurate and automated anomaly detection, while also enabling automated response configuration. In addition, the new feature reduces and prioritizes the volume of alerts received daily by MSP administrators through automated incident prevention, detection and response.

MSP partners and internal IT staff can now:

  • Configure their dashboards to collect metrics (hardware, software, performance, system and security) from monitored IT environments and use machine learning techniques to compare them with patterns of normal behavior.
  • Select preferred monitoring and alert modes, for example when thresholds are exceeded, anomalies are detected, etc.
  • Classify alerts by severity, occurrence and content.
  • Resolve issues by triggering automated or manual responses.
  • Configure email alerts to obtain up-to-date information on the status of managed infrastructures.

“The current level of cyber risks places high demands on IT administrators and MSP providers in terms of both the quantity and quality of tasks performed,” said Štěpán Bínek, Cloud Solutions Sales Manager for Acronis at ZEBRA SYSTEMS. “Using machine learning techniques within Acronis solutions enables them to automate the most common routine activities, increase overall productivity and reduce the error rate that typically accompanies manually performed tasks.”
