Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud update: FortiGate integration, RMM automation, and DeployPilot component

The cloud MSP platform further increases its value for IT service providers and the level of cyber protection for their customers

PRAGUE, January 22, 2025 – Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection solutions, has added further new features to its MSP platform, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. The enhancements primarily concern XDR, disaster recovery, and RMM process automation. Acronis also introduced DeployPilot, a component that centralizes and automates software deployment and patch management across all environments.

The key new features in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud include:

• Acronis XDR: Enhanced protection with FortiGate firewall integration. Expanded Acronis XDR visibility and response capabilities thanks to new integration with FortiGate by Fortinet, one of the most widely used network firewalls in the world. It enables integration through the management portal and enriches XDR incident information and network-level telemetry. As part of its response, it blocks URLs and IP addresses and isolates devices from the network.
• Automated device onboarding through Active Directory. Simplifies and accelerates the deployment of Windows devices into Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud through automatic agent installation, registration, and plan application via Active Directory. It registers both online and offline devices and applies protection, monitoring, and remote management plans. It enables tracking of agent installation progress in the dashboard for better visibility and reliability.
• Disaster recovery dashboard. The new disaster recovery dashboard provides MSP partners with real-time visibility and actionable insights across the entire DR lifecycle. It makes it easy to ensure continuous protection of critical servers and virtual machines, allowing administrators to monitor the status of DR infrastructure and proactively address potential issues. In addition, they can quickly review test results and identified failures and enable automated testing of multiple workloads at once. All from a single console, ensuring seamless and uninterrupted operations.
• DeployPilot for centralized and automated software deployment. The Acronis Management package now offers the powerful DeployPilot software deployment component, which centralizes and automates software deployment across all client environments and enables MSP and IT administrators to manage software installations remotely and at scale. With this new feature, MSP providers now have a complete solution for automating all aspects of software deployment and patch management.
