According to AV-Test, Cyber Protect Cloud demonstrated 100% reliability and zero false positives
Prague, 28 April 2020 – Acronis, a global leader in next-generation data protection solutions, introduced Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, a new cyber protection service within the Acronis Cyber Cloud platform designed for managed service providers (MSPs). According to routine testing of enterprise antivirus solutions conducted in March 2020 by the respected German company AV-Test, Cyber Protect Cloud technology achieved a 100% success rate in malware detection.
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is a unique backup service featuring next-generation anti-malware protection and a broad range of endpoint management capabilities. It eliminates unnecessary complexity and enables service providers to reliably protect customers at a cost-effective price.
Testing by the AV-Test institute assessed the effectiveness of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud protection against current malware threats, using 6,932 infected files in a Windows environment – the Acronis solution detected 100% of them. The response to false threats was also examined, where clean files were identified as malware and infected files as clean. After scanning 180,000 such files, the solution achieved a perfect result – without any false positives.
Cyber Protect Cloud further expands the service portfolio within Acronis Cyber Cloud, enabling MSPs to deliver comprehensive cyber protection services to their customers. For maximum efficiency, Acronis Cyber Cloud offers a user-friendly environment for unified service provisioning, customer management, monitoring, integration, custom branding, and more.
With the Acronis Cyber Cloud service suite, service providers can deliver fully integrated cyber protection for data, including cloud services:
- Cyber Backup Cloud – hybrid, cloud, and local backup
- Cyber Disaster Recovery Cloud – disaster recovery
- Cyber Files Cloud – file synchronization and sharing
- Cyber Notary Cloud – blockchain-based file authentication and electronic signature
“With the new service, we are putting a powerful tool in the hands of our service providers, enabling them to protect their clients’ infrastructures against cyberattacks with 100% certainty,” said Štěpán Bínek, responsible for sales of Acronis cloud solutions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. “Independent tests have consistently confirmed that Acronis cyber protection, built on defense against ransomware and other malware threats, is successful and reliable. This is particularly important today, when many cyber attackers are targeting the vulnerable public and healthcare sectors.”
In response to the current coronavirus pandemic, Acronis is also offering its Acronis Cyber Files Cloud solution free of charge to all IT service providers until 31 July 2020. In addition, all new Acronis Cyber Cloud customers added after 18 March will receive cloud backup services free of charge until 31 July.
