The latest version of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud further makes advanced security solutions accessible, with effective protection of data, applications, and systems within a single centralized platform
Miami Beach, Florida, November 9 – At the Acronis CyberFit Summit conference, Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection, introduced its new Acronis Advanced Security + EDR product within the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform. Advanced Security + EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) brings an innovative approach to effective threat detection, elimination, and remediation without the complexity typical of other EDR solutions.
Acronis Advanced Security + EDR simplifies the complex tools needed to keep pace with today’s cyber threat landscape. By leveraging a unified platform approach, it enables IT teams to detect and understand advanced attacks and then ensure rapid recovery using easy-to-manage features. With the Acronis solution, companies significantly reduce the time-consuming and highly specialized (and therefore costly) activities of security analysts, as well as the time required to restore business operations.
Acronis Advanced Security + EDR is part of the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform, which enables service providers to offer businesses comprehensive protection in compliance with the cybersecurity standards of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The new solution contributes to Acronis cyber protection with the following features:
- Correlation and interpretation of events using machine learning and attack chain visibility mapped to MITRE ATT&CK®
- Integrated specific response capabilities, including one-click rollback
- The ability to investigate, remediate, recover, and close security gaps through integration with other Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform features
- Simplicity and lower costs thanks to rapid solution deployment from the central Acronis console and a single agent offering one-click advanced security – without the need to deploy additional agents and without the issues associated with integrating diverse third-party products
Alongside its innovative approach, which provides all businesses with better access to sophisticated technologies for improved protection, Acronis now has all the tools needed for its MSP providers to offer MDR (Managed Detection and Response) services to clients at lower prices while maintaining reasonable margins.
The August Acronis Cyberthreats Report estimates that global ransomware damages will exceed USD 30 billion by 2023. Ransomware remains the number one threat to large and medium-sized businesses. Acronis significantly reduces the success rate of ransomware attacks with its NIST standards-based approach to business continuity and limits the number of phishing and malware URLs from which advanced attacks are launched. In the second quarter of 2022 alone, it blocked 21 million URLs at endpoints.
“EDR technology is an essential addition to any cybersecurity approach,” said Candid Wüest, Vice President of Research at Acronis. “We know that previously unknown zero-day attacks account for 80% of all security breach incidents.1 We address them by treating real-world security and the business outcomes of our customers and partners as our highest priority, with fast and easy remediation being a key element of this approach.”
Acronis Advanced Security + EDR will be available to Acronis partners in December and publicly available in Q1 2023.
