Acronis presented the results of its local survey on sharing and access to corporate files, conducted this year among Czech sales partners. The survey shows that sharing and access to corporate data are among the biggest data protection challenges for Czech SMB companies. Nearly half of businesses are considering deploying a file sharing and synchronization solution this year.
Key findings from the local survey:
- When it comes to sharing and accessing corporate documents, Czech SMB companies and organizations most often address fragmented information (61%), a low level of security (56%), and storing work files in external repositories such as Dropbox (33%);
- Their users most often access business documents (67%), marketing information (39%), and service cases (38%) from mobile devices;
- As many as 44% of businesses are considering deploying a specialized file sharing and synchronization solution this year (compared to 18% in 2016).
“The main motivation for deploying a solution for sharing and accessing corporate documents has always been the growing mobility of work,” said Zdeněk Bínek, responsible for sales of Acronis solutions on the Czech and Slovak markets. “However, more and more customers are now also interested in file access solutions in connection with the approaching effective date of the GDPR directive, because they make it possible to set an access policy that prevents unauthorized leaks of sensitive personal data.”
Acronis offers the Acronis Access Advanced solution, which, in addition to enabling compliance with GDPR regulations, also increases user productivity and working comfort, improves data security, and gives managers full control over users’ access to and sharing of corporate content.
