Acronis has announced a new strategic partnership with Google Cloud focused on further enhancing Acronis backup solutions through integration with the Google Cloud Platform.

The partnership will significantly increase the number of cloud regions where Acronis partners and customers can store their data. It will also provide users with faster cloud upload speeds and the ability to localize their data in storage located in multiple countries.

Google Cloud Platform will be integrated into future versions of Acronis solutions for backup, disaster recovery, and file sharing and access. The innovation will enable Acronis partners to expand their offering with easy and fast data protection services for millions of customers already using the Google Cloud platform. Easy access to Google Cloud Platform will also help users reduce recovery time objectives (RTOs) and achieve required SLA targets, especially in disaster recovery scenarios.

“Integrating Google Cloud with Acronis backup products is one of the main requirements of our users,” said John Zanni, President of Acronis. “Many businesses have invested in public cloud infrastructure, and we will make it easier for them to use it with Acronis solutions.”

The integration will include expanded support for Google Cloud storage, the option to deploy the Google Cloud model for the Acronis Backup management server, and the ability to use Google Cloud Platform for disaster recovery. This will provide new opportunities and greater flexibility for Acronis partners, enabling them to support their customers in achieving the required level of data protection using the Google Cloud platform.

Acronis data protection solutions already offer native integration with a range of public cloud providers, popular hosting platforms, and remote monitoring and management tools. Acronis products are designed to work in the cloud and protect all data across all environments, including cloud storage, data centers, on-premises locations, remote workplaces, and mobile devices.

The current partnership with Google Cloud is a logical step in Acronis’s efforts to provide partners and customers with both the most comprehensive data protection and the most flexible possible choice of data management.

“We are seeing a growing number of customers using our storage to protect data because it offers greater flexibility, performance, and efficiency,” said Adam Massey, Director of Strategic Technology Partnerships at Google Cloud. “By working with Acronis, a recognized leader in its industry, we want to make it even easier for our customers to protect their data.”
