Buřinka uses GFI EventsManager

The solution made it possible to consolidate all key log sources and operate in compliance with demanding legislative requirements

PRAGUE, December 3, 2018– GFI Software,a provider of enterprise network security solutions, announced that Stavební spořitelna České spořitelny uses GFI EventsManager to consolidate security logs, help meet demanding legislative requirements, and maintain a strong reputation among its customers. In addition, Stavební spořitelna plans to test other products under the GFI Unlimited licensing model, which could complement or expand its existing protection in the future.

Security administrators at Stavební spořitelna value GFI EventsManager most for its user-friendly and intuitive interface, which makes it easy to browse and search for specific logs. With the help of filters, they can perform all possible selections and output sets and ultimately report the required information. The solution was deployed across 150 nodes.

Previously, logs at Stavební spořitelna were also monitored, but only separately, with no centralized tool in place. The main reason for deploying a specialized tool was the need to consolidate all key security log sources and be able to further work with and evaluate them. With the aim of using its IT budget as efficiently as possible, the company chose GFI EventsManager, which offered the best price/performance ratio on the market.

GFI EventsManager is a log management solution that enables businesses and organizations to manage event log data in order to improve system reliability, security, availability, and compliance with regulatory requirements. It enables centralized collection, classification, evaluation, and storage of logs from various sources, as well as partial active monitoring of endpoints in the infrastructure. GFI EventsManager enables organizations to address a wide range of general and specific requirements, including, for example, the recently introduced measures arising from the General Data Protection Regulation, known as GDPR.

Since 2018, licensing of GFI EventsManager at Stavební spořitelna has transitioned to GFI Unlimited licensing, which enables the use of full versions of other GFI Software products as well. In this context, Stavební spořitelna plans to test additional security products that could complement or expand its existing protection in the future.
