Ease of management ranks first among requirements for integrated solutions
PRAGUE, June 28, 2021 – GFI Software, a provider of security solutions for enterprise networks, presented the results of a survey among its sales partners, according to which Czech IT administrators currently encounter phishing attacks most frequently among their customers. However, organizations show the greatest interest in VPN solutions and firewall-based network protection, while anti-spam and anti-phishing solutions rank only third among their priorities.
The growing number of attacks is related to the still large number of employees working from home offices and only slowly returning to company premises. Employers continue to focus more on protecting networks using VPNs and firewalls than on improving email protection, which is more vulnerable when employees access it remotely. IT administrators are now increasingly seeking integrated security solutions or models to avoid the demanding management of individual tools.
The most interesting findings include:
- Czech IT administrators most frequently encounter phishing (73%), malware distribution (64%), and the exploitation of software vulnerabilities (36%)
- Customers show the greatest interest in VPN and firewall solutions (both 82%) and anti-spam & anti-phishing solutions (55%)
- In integrated IT security solutions, IT administrators value ease of management (68%), centralized access to individual tools (59%), and the automation of routine tasks (50%) the most.
“While cyberattacks are becoming more complex and targeting multiple vectors at once, it is becoming apparent that SMB organizations still address the security of these vectors individually,” said Zdeněk Bínek, responsible for sales of GFI Software solutions in the Czech Republic. “It is therefore no surprise that when they close gaps in their network using a firewall, new ones emerge, for example at the user email level. The GFI Unlimited Network Security suite addresses the protection of SMB companies comprehensively by covering all possible vulnerabilities at once within a single set of solutions.”
