GFI Software recognized the best Czech partners for 2015

In 2016, GFI partners see the greatest potential in patch management, portable device management and archiving solutions

PRAGUE – February 1, 2016 – GFI Software, a provider of enterprise network security solutions, recognized its best Czech partners for 2015 at its annual meeting. During the meeting, GFI partners confirmed that the biggest security challenge currently facing SMB companies is the protection of sensitive business data. For 2016, they predict a strengthening of this area, particularly through specific solutions for patch management, portable device management and archiving.

GFI Software announced the best resellers of the previous year in the following categories:

  • 2015 Partner of the Year was awarded to Amenit s.r.o.
  • Most Active Partner – DAQUAS spol. s r.o.
  • 2015 Maintenance Partner of the Year – VERTIX s.r.o.

“First of all, I would like to thank all our partners for their efforts in 2015 and congratulate those who received awards,” said Zdeněk Bínek, responsible for sales of GFI Software solutions on the Czech and Slovak markets. “We appreciate both their cooperation and their opinion, which confirmed to us that Czech SMB businesses often underestimate the issue of protecting sensitive business data. Today, complex threats can no longer be addressed in just one way, but rather through multiple approaches, which is why GFI is preparing a number of new products and updates for this year – from email communication protection and archiving solutions, through patch management and endpoint protection, to comprehensive solutions.”

A survey among resellers concerning the state of IT security in small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) produced the following specific findings:

  • SMB businesses are most concerned about the loss and leakage of business data or login information, as well as the theft of sensitive information by their own employees;
  • Partners see the main potential for improvement primarily in patch management, control of portable device use and archiving;
  • Private mobile phones and tablets are the second-riskiest category of portable devices for SMB companies, immediately after USB drives;
  • Customers will increasingly demand comprehensive solutions for securing business communications and protecting corporate networks against complex threats.
