The new version 9.3 eliminates the risks of lost connectivity and corporate network vulnerabilities
PRAGUE, April 11, 2019 – GFI Software,a provider of security solutions for enterprise networks, has released the latest version of its unified network security solution Kerio Control 9.3. The key innovation of the new version is the built-in high availability and failover functionality, enabling small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to eliminate the risks of lost connectivity and network vulnerability threats.
To ensure high availability, both new and existing customers will receive a second identical Kerio Control appliance or virtual machine. A single software license will apply to both devices. Customers configure the second device as a clone of the active device, with setup being easy and taking only a few minutes. Once configured, the two devices connect through a synchronization port, and all rules and routing are replicated and updated between them.
A failure of the primary device due to a malfunction or other causes often forces network administrators to restore connectivity using a simple router, which can lead to reduced productivity. In addition, the network is exposed to security threats during this time until the device is repaired or replaced. With the high availability feature, the second device immediately takes over the full load in the event of an outage or error, so users experience no service interruption and, more importantly, the company is not exposed to vulnerability risks.
“The latest version of Kerio Control underscores GFI's commitment to continue developing its portfolio of network, security and communications solutions for SMBs,” said Dan Beer, CEO of GFI Software. “We are proud to provide the right solutions to all customers who need the assurance that their corporate networks are always operational and secure.”
More than 25,000 companies worldwide rely on Kerio Control for reliable internet connection security and strong protection against cyber threats through firewall, antivirus and anti-malware protection, and web connection filtering. With version 9.3, companies can eliminate the risks and costs associated with device outages and potential disruption of protection against security threats.
