KLIA’s main business is the wholesale import of flowers and flower-related products, followed by the sale and distribution of these goods to flower shops. Through regular imports of cut and potted flowers from the largest flower exchange in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands, as well as from other countries, including the domestic market, it maintains a high standard of supply for flower shops. The company has branches in Bohuslavice, Ostrava, Brno and Prague.
For its operations, the company uses support from the MYWAC application software, where all company data is stored. To protect it, the company uses ESET antivirus, but as it turned out, this is not always a 100% solution. Due to a user error involving the opening of a suspicious email with an Excel attachment, almost the entire server containing production data was encrypted, and the company lost access to it. Another case of data being at risk was the failure of a disk array, as a result of which it was not possible to recover data from that disk array.
