PRAGUE, 7 November 2022 – GFI Software, a provider of security solutions for enterprise networks, announced that Labaš, Slovakia's largest food wholesaler, uses the GFI KerioConnect solution for efficient corporate communications. The solution, deployed and managed by RD-System Slovakia, provides the company's employees with more convenient email management, higher productivity and a higher level of security.
The company operated an older email system that provided only basic functions and did not allow more sophisticated email management, calendar sharing, extension to mobile devices, etc. With the gradual increase in email communications across the company – at the expense of telephone calls and fax messages – the demands placed on corporate mail systems, and especially on the security of user mailboxes, also grew. Currently, around 6,400 emails with a total volume of almost 2 GB of data enter and leave the company every day.
The customer deployed the GFI KerioConnect mail system, including integration with the Microsoft Outlook client. Within the solution, users primarily use email, calendars and email on mobile devices. The solution, currently relied on by 320 users, also includes important IT security features, including antivirus and antispam protection and the option to archive email.
The GFI KerioConnect solution met expectations for a secure on-premise email system at an affordable cost. Compared to the previous email system, GFI KerioConnect offers the company's individual users more convenient email management, higher productivity thanks to integration with calendar entries, and better security thanks to antivirus protection and mail archiving.
“In addition to wholesale operations, our customer also runs 33 of its own retail stores, which is reflected, among other things, in very intensive email communications,” said Ing. From this perspective, the GFI KerioConnect solution we operate represents a good compromise between extensive functionality, easy administration and total cost of ownership.”
