The update to Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud brings enhancements in disaster recovery,
storage cost optimization, and simplified user management
PRAGUE, February 24, 2026 – Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection solutions, has added more new features to its MSP platform, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. The enhancements enable MSP providers to offer customers more efficient disaster recovery and cloud storage services while increasing their productivity through automated user management.
The latest version focuses on the day-to-day challenges faced by MSP providers, such as guaranteeing disaster recovery readiness for customers, reducing the time spent switching between customers during patching, streamlining remote support, and simplifying user access management. The new features help standardize operations across the customer portfolio while maintaining flexibility where it matters.
Key enhancements include:
Disaster Recovery: Automated PDF reports with recovery test results – PDF reports with the results of automated recovery tests, including screenshot evidence. The report helps customers and auditors demonstrate disaster recovery readiness and is available directly from a dashboard widget.
Remote Management (RMM): Partner-level vulnerability assessment and patching – Management of vulnerability assessments and patch management for all customers from a single partner-level screen. This provides a centralized overview of identified vulnerabilities and available patches, while reducing customer switching and ensuring consistent compliance with standards.
User Management: User provisioning using SAML – Automatic provisioning and updating of user accounts upon first sign-in using the SAML security standard. Users are created and updated on demand based on identity claims, reducing manual account administration and leveraging identity providers as a trusted user source.
Backup: Deduplication in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace archives – Archive deduplication reduces storage size for newly backed-up data from SharePoint, Teams, and drives by removing duplicate content during each backup cycle. It lowers costs for customers paying based on data volume and reduces their overall data footprint. This feature can be configured for each customer and each data type and does not alter previously created backups.
“The agenda of IT administrators in the MSP environment is becoming more complex year after year as cyberattacks grow more sophisticated and regulatory requirements more demanding,” said Štěpán Bínek, Cloud Solutions Sales Manager for Acronis at ZEBRA SYSTEMS. “The latest update focuses heavily on simplifying administrators’ work, which ultimately leads to an overall increase in service quality and the level of customer security.”
