Vodňanská drůbež, a.s. is the largest supplier of poultry meat in the Czech Republic and is also the country’s only processor of duck meat. Poultry for slaughter and poultry products are processed at three facilities using state-of-the-art production lines and technologies. The company is based at four locations, three of which are production sites and one serves as a logistics centre. The company is part of the Agrofert group.
Vodňanská drůbež needed to address data backup across all four locations, which include its headquarters and one production plant in Vodňany, additional production plants in Modřice near Brno and Mirovice, and a logistics centre in Skořenice. While the ERP system and email application are centrally managed within the Agrofert group, Vodňanská drůbež manages other systems, including a proprietary production system and controlling and user data, for which continuous operation and backup needed to be ensured.
