Secure backup and rapid data recovery in the Acronis environment eliminate the impact of potential operational outages
PRAGUE, March 26, 2024 – Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection solutions, announced that the Czech company Wittmann Battenfeld CZ uses the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud cloud solution to securely back up its data and systems. Migration to the cloud system was handled by Algorit, an Acronis Gold Partner, which also provides continuous management and security for the IT infrastructure.
Wittmann Battenfeld CZ, part of the Austrian WITTMANN Group, sells and services machinery for the plastics industry, including injection molding machines, control systems, production lines, and more. Its activities are complemented by the development and delivery of specialized automation. With the help of the Advanced Backup package, the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud solution backs up primarily data related to locally developed projects to a secure cloud according to the 3-2-1 rule. If individual documents are lost, they can be immediately restored from a local backup. Should a serious loss of local data or backups occur, a cloud backup is still available. Compared to the original backup system, data backup and recovery in the Acronis environment are incomparably faster, eliminating the impact of potential operational outages.
Historically, the company used the Windows Backup solution, but in 2014 it switched to the local Acronis Backup system. However, because the company's management wanted to ensure data availability even in the event of a critical loss of local systems, it decided in 2022 to move from an on-premise solution to cloud backup.
