Managed services or at least partially proactive IT management are already offered by 35% of Czech IT vendors
PRAGUE, 19 February 2025 – ZEBRA SYSTEMS, a distributor of N-able solutions in the Czech and Slovak markets, stated that according to its survey focused on IT services, more than half of Czech and Slovak IT providers identified demand for cybersecurity services as one of the main current trends. The greatest interest is in email protection, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanning services.
As IT infrastructures become more complex and their defence against the growing level of cyber risks more complicated, an increasing number of end customers are leaving this area to their IT providers. In particular, managed service and IT security service providers (MSPs and MSSPs) are experiencing growing demand and expanding their service portfolios with new offerings. It is also interesting that support for remote work is identified as another important trend, reflecting the widespread practice of working from home or while travelling, which requires a higher level of security.
The most interesting survey results:
- The main current trends in IT services include support for users working remotely (57%), demand for cybersecurity services (54%), and AI-supported automation (24%)
- Among cybersecurity services, there is the greatest interest in email security (57%), EDR/MDR endpoint security (50%), and vulnerability scanning (46%).
- Of the service providers surveyed, 18% primarily provide MSP/MSSP services, 17% provide partially proactive management, 48% provide traditional IT services, and 17% provide hardware and software deliveries.
“The respondents’ answers also confirm our recent experience, with the share of the cybersecurity segment in total demand steadily growing,” said Ondřej Šabata, Sales Engineer for N-able solutions at ZEBRA SYSTEMS. “More and more traditional IT providers are also moving to a proactive management and security model; in this year’s survey, 35% of respondents already fell into this category. A shortage of in-house IT administrators, more sophisticated cyberattacks, growing dependence on digital technologies, and flexible ways of working – all of these are reasons why organizations are entrusting responsibility for their security to MSP providers.”
