Digitalization and cyber threats prompted the manufacturer to deploy security and data protection services
PRAGUE, June 24, 2026 – ZEBRA SYSTEMS, a distributor of N-able solutions in the Czech and Slovak markets, announced that KOVHRON, a Slovak engineering manufacturer, has deployed N-able MSP services that enhance its security level and protect important data against cyber threats. The complete deployment and operation of the MSP services is provided by JKC, a ZEBRA SYSTEMS partner in Slovakia.
As part of its manufacturing operations, KOVHRON uses a range of modern technologies and equipment, such as laser cutters and press brakes. These machines communicate with one another via a network and receive production programs from an internal system. Another priority is securing financial data and accounting systems, for which the protection of sensitive information, electronic invoices, and corporate communications will become increasingly important due to upcoming legislation and the digitalization of processes in Slovakia. The company therefore pays great attention to cybersecurity.
The company deployed cyber protection services using MSP products such as N-able N-sight, including remote monitoring and management of devices (RMM), N-able Cove Data Protection for regular data backups, and modern antivirus protection through N-able EDR (SentinelOne). The project also included migration to new hardware, including the secure transfer of all data and configuration of the new environment.
The greatest benefit is considered to be the peace of mind and assurance that data is protected and regularly backed up. In the event of an issue, it is possible to restore the previous state and minimize the impact on company operations. Shortly after the system was deployed, they even detected an attempted attack, which was successfully blocked by the security solution. They learned of the incident through an alert, while the data remained safe and the incident had no impact on operations.
“Many companies invest tens of thousands of euros in production technologies, but try to save money on data protection,” said Andrej Zrak, Managing Director of KOVHRON, s.r.o. “Yet data loss or operational downtime can cause damage that far exceeds the cost of a high-quality security solution. That is why I consider investment in cyber protection to be just as important as investment in production itself.”
