How do you back up Windows?
A Windows backup usually refers to a backup of the system's working state that would allow the system to be restored to its original form. A classic example of software that enables you to create backups of the Windows operating system is Acronis True Image. It creates system backups by backing up the entire disk partition on which the operating system is installed using a sector-by-sector method. A backup created in this way contains not only the operating system, but also all applications installed on the given disk partition and all data stored on that partition. True Image allows you to burn Windows backups directly to CDs and DVDs, store them on other disks or partitions, and save them to network storage. In addition, Acronis True Image lets you get the system up and running by restoring a system backup to a clean disk using Acronis bootable media.
It is advisable to ensure that the operating system and work data are stored separately. This ensures that if the system crashes and needs to be erased, you will not lose your data as well. If there are two hard drives in the computer, it is a good idea to use one as the system drive and the other to store work data. If there is only one drive in the computer, it is a good idea to divide it into a system partition and a data partition. Acronis Disk Director Suite software will help you partition the disk.
