MSPs can now expand their IT security services with
N-able Managed Endpoint Detection and Response

PRAGUE, February 22, 2023 – ZEBRA SYSTEMS, the distributor of N-able solutions in the Czech and Slovak markets, announced that N-able has launched N-able Managed Endpoint Detection and Response (Managed EDR). This is a threat monitoring, hunting and response service designed for MSPs that have already integrated N-able Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) into their processes, complementing EDR with specialized managed IT security services.

Thanks to SentinelOne Vigilance Respond technology, Managed EDR can leverage SentinelOne’s security operations center (SOC) and the support of security experts within the Vigilance service to continuously monitor, assess and respond to every identified threat to their network. For MSPs already using EDR provided by N-able, Managed EDR acts as an extension of their IT teams, with security analysts available 24x7x365. This allows them to focus their time and resources on higher-value activities.

The IT industry has long faced numerous challenges, including a record-high labor shortage. According to the (IC)² 2022 Cybersecurity Workforce study, the gap between the workforce actually available and the workforce needed in IT security grew by 26 percent globally, with an additional 3.4 million people needed to effectively secure businesses. Building an internal security team can have its pitfalls: finding suitable employees, covering their costs and, last but not least, ensuring round-the-clock 24×7 security.

Deploying Managed EDR enables N-able partners to scale their security services supported by their resources while expanding their security team with native EDR technology and expertise to help them address staffing and retention challenges. Introducing the new technology also enables MSPs to minimize the time-consuming tasks of their employees, spread the costs of building new technology infrastructure, and provides an opportunity to add new capabilities, including revenue from advanced security services.

“We are pleased to continue building our relationship with SentinelOne. We recognize the strong emphasis our partners place on cybersecurity solutions at a global level and appreciate their ability to overcome the daily challenges they face to keep themselves and their customers’ endpoints secure,” said Troels Rasmussen, General Manager of Security Products at N-able. “Managed EDR can help bridge the current gap in the security challenges we face and provide top security experts to extend existing security teams. By relieving the burden of day-to-day operations, it enables work teams to focus on more strategic initiatives. It thus provides overall assurance and peace of mind 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

Managed EDR supports N-able MSP partners as follows:

  • Accelerates the investigation and remediation of threats detected by EDR using SentinelOne technology.
  • Monitors endpoints 24×7 and takes immediate mitigation action as needed, regardless of where they are located
  • Reviews, analyzes and documents every identified threat to provide visibility into what is happening on the network
  • Proactively alerts on malicious or suspicious activity and escalates only urgent issues
  • Continuously hunts for potential threats using EDR threat hunting capabilities (for N-able partners who have this advanced feature enabled)

“With Managed EDR powered by SentinelOne Vigilance MDR, MSPs can effectively allocate their resources and focus on key strategic activities,” said Mark Parrinello, Chief Revenue Officer, SentinelOne. “We look forward to supporting N-able MSP partners as they protect their critical infrastructure with advanced autonomous technology.”
