Announced at the ZEBR.AI Roadshow in Prague: GFI KerioConnect with an integrated AI-powered email assistant delivers personalized, tailored email processing
PRAGUE, 14 October 2026 – GFI Software, a global leader in AI-based security and communication solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), has announced that Eloquens AI is now integrated directly into GFI KerioConnect, the mail server for email communication and collaboration used by more than 30,000 organizations worldwide. GFI Software CEO Eric Vaughan presented the news in his opening keynote at the ZEBR.AI Roadshow Praha 2026, held in the country where Kerio was founded in 1997.
AI-powered email assistants such as Microsoft 365 Copilot and Gmail's Gemini are designed for organizations that have already moved their email to someone else's cloud. Many GFI KerioConnect customers, however, deliberately run their own email system so they can keep control of their data, meet regulatory requirements or keep costs low. Eloquens AI gives them substantial AI assistance without forcing them to give up their on-premises deployment.
“Since the start of the generative AI (GenAI) revolution, AI in email has come with a hidden price: first move your email to Microsoft or Google,” said Eric Vaughan, CEO of GFI Software. “Tens of thousands of GFI KerioConnect customers have chosen to run their own email for reasons of security and privacy, and they should not be penalized for that choice. Today we are bringing one of the most advanced AI email assistants on the market straight to their own servers.”
Inbox processed before you even open it
Within minutes of a message arriving, Eloquens AI decides how to handle it. Notifications and newsletters are moved to a “No reply needed” folder. Messages that require a decision stay in the inbox and are clearly flagged. For routine inquiries, a reply is prepared in the “Drafts” folder, written in the user's own style and ready for review and sending. Every decision comes with a rationale, so users can act faster and with more confidence. Eloquens AI works in the GFI KerioConnect web client, the desktop client and Microsoft Outlook.
The customer stays in control
The Eloquens AI assistant is switched off until an administrator turns it on from the GFI KerioConnect admin console. Emails stay on the customer's own server, administrators choose exactly which mailboxes the assistant is enabled for, and they can switch it off at any time. A 30-day free trial can be started with a single click, with no sales involvement or setup. For managed service providers (MSPs), it is a new service they can offer every customer directly from the console they already use.
“Kerio was born right here in the Czech Republic, and our partners have trusted GFI KerioConnect with their customers' email for years,” said Zdeněk Bínek, Managing Director of ZEBR.AI. “Eloquens AI gives each of these partners something new they can offer as early as tomorrow, on the servers they manage.”
