Productivity, security and faster response among the main benefits of automation
PRAGUE, January 26, 2023 – ZEBRA SYSTEMS, a distributor of N-able solutions in the Czech and Slovak markets, announced that according to its survey, 39% of its resellers already offer MSP or MSSP services (Managed Security Service Provider). One of the main motivations for transitioning to managed services is the automation of routine activities, which primarily brings them a higher level of security, greater productivity and faster response to security incidents. The survey was conducted in January 2023 among ZEBRA SYSTEMS resellers; the company distributes N-able solutions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Southeastern Europe.
Although the majority of IT providers still offer traditional hardware and software deliveries and conventional services based on the break-fix model, more than half offer at least partially proactive management and nearly 40% already provide managed services (MSP) or managed security services (MSSP). This is also supported by the expanding range of current RMM platforms, which cover the comprehensive requirements of end customers, from device management and monitoring to backup, patch management and other IT security elements.
“Automation is key to the success of our business,” says Martin Melich, Managing Director and co-founder of PATRON-IT. “We use a monitoring system built on the N-able N-sight RMM cloud platform with our own advanced scripts, which together form a comprehensive control tool. The system monitors our customers’ entire IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, storage, UPS systems, switches, routers, cameras, Wi-Fi APs and unknown device detection. If all of this had to be checked manually, the inspection would take weeks, but our monitoring tool can handle it every five minutes.”
The most interesting findings from the survey:
- 83% of respondents provide hardware and software deliveries, 80% provide traditional IT services (break-fix model), 61% offer partially proactive management, 39% provide MSP services and 22% provide MSSP services
- The service most automated by IT providers is backup (57%), followed by device management and monitoring (23%), endpoint protection services (17%) and patch management (3%).
- IT providers see the main benefits of automating their activities in a higher level of security (71%) and greater productivity (61%). 57% of respondents see the benefit of automation in faster incident response, 41% in higher customer satisfaction and 20% in a lower error rate.
“We are seeing growing interest from our partners in managed service and security tools that enable them to provide services to more customers, with better profitability and a higher level of security,” said Ondřej Šabata, Sales Engineer for N-able solutions at ZEBRA SYSTEMS. “The good news is that the N-able solutions portfolio is continuously strengthening automation features in its tools, not only in the area of management and monitoring, but currently also, for example, in patch management and endpoint protection.”
