Czech IT providers are moving into the MSP segment, with increasing customer satisfaction as their main motivation

PRAGUE, April 25, 2023 – ZEBRA SYSTEMS, a distributor of N-able solutions in the Czech and Slovak markets, announced that according to its survey of IT resellers, 67% of them currently report the greatest end-customer interest in MSP backup services and endpoint protection services – more than in traditional MSP remote management and monitoring services. The survey was conducted in April 2023 among ZEBRA SYSTEMS resellers; the company distributes N-able solutions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Southeastern Europe.

The survey shows that MSP services are no longer only about managing and monitoring (RMM) customer devices, but that their focus is rapidly shifting towards data protection and IT security services. Modern comprehensive MSP tools such as N-able N-sight and N-able N-central enable managed service providers to easily expand the range of their services based on customer demand. These services enable MSP providers to increase productivity, improve the security level of customer infrastructures and increase customer satisfaction.

The most interesting findings from the survey:

  • More and more IT providers are beginning to provide primarily MSP services, as stated by 71% of respondents; 62% also offer partially proactive services, and only 24% rely on the traditional break-fix model. Conversely, 12% already mainly offer managed IT security services (MSSP).
  • The greatest interest among end customers is in MSP backup and disaster recovery or endpoint protection services (both 67%), remote management and monitoring (47%), and email protection (46%).
  • The main motivation for IT providers to transition to MSP is customer satisfaction (64%), a better level of security (38%), greater convenience for IT administrators (38%), and higher productivity (36%).
  • 63% of respondents have observed an increased level of security threats this year compared with last year.

“The year-on-year increase in cyberattacks is also rapidly driving customer demand for managed IT security services,” said Ondřej Šabata, Sales Engineer for N-able solutions at ZEBRA SYSTEMS. “As a result, more and more of our partners are also including MSP or MSSP services in their portfolios, where we are seeing a significant increase in demand, particularly for EDR tools for endpoint protection. The benefits are mutual: customers gain better prevention and protection against security threats, while providers can serve more customers with a broader range of services thanks to comprehensive MSP tools.
